About the book
Maureen and Other Stories brings together stories about ordinary people confronted by the unexpected. Moving between dark humour, mystery, the supernatural and the quietly unsettling, the collection explores obsession, loneliness, chance encounters and the sometimes strange consequences of everyday decisions.
Although the stories vary widely in setting and subject, they share an interest in people at moments when the familiar world shifts slightly off balance. Some are comic, some disturbing, some poignant, and some venture into darker territory.

From the author
These stories were written over a number of years and range widely in subject, setting and tone. Some are dark, some humorous, some strange, but what interests me most is what happens when ordinary people find themselves in situations that are anything but ordinary. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
